For many who come to REM, choosing a new home is a comfortable transition from their own family homes or previous living situations. For others, particularly those who come from highly structured settings, the community homes they choose to live in provide a sense of identity and belonging.
Group Home Living
REM North Dakota offers a variety of small group living arrangements for people wishing to live with other individuals sharing similar interests. REM’s group living program can be utilized as a transitional step for individuals moving to more independent living arrangements or as an ongoing long-term support for persons who desire it. Attractive and well-maintained residences, our group homes are fully integrated into their surrounding neighborhoods.
Because of our flexible, person-centered approach, we provide all adults in our group homes with a continuum of care designed to help each individual live as independently in their community as possible. Our support services are based on each individual’s needs and may include assistance with:
