We specialize in serving adults and youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities and creating person-centered programs that combine personal choice and community integration with professional oversight, family involvement and stability.
Hourly Support Services
Many individuals with Developmental Disabilities desire less structured supports, provided in their family homes or other settings. REM works with an individual and his or her family to provide hourly supports that help people with Intellectual Disabilities remain independent and fulfilled.
In-home supports are available to help individuals live in the community as independently as possible, particularly those who have transitioned from more restrictive settings. Trained staff provide a variety of assistance for people living on their own or learning to do so. Hourly supports are tailored to the needs and goals of the person. Individuals learn daily living skills and regularly participate in community activities and vocational programs, all of which provide for a greater sense of independence and personal identity.
Respite support is available for individuals who live with their families, allowing both parties a healthy change in routine—either on an hourly basis or overnight.
